Tsurugaoka Hachimangu
The power spot connected to Minamoto no Yorimoto!
This famous shrine is the location of the Kamakura warrior guardian deity and known for its connection to Minamoto no Yorimoto, the first shogun of Kamakura. The scene of cherry blossoms and trees that change color in the autumn along with white cranes on the temple grounds carry a refining charm, and in addition to the Kamakura Museum of National Treasures also on the grounds and the large festival held regularly every September it is a spot that even now conveys the spirit of the Kamakura warrior.

Meigetsu-in (Ajisai-dera)
This temple is famous for having over 1,000 hydrangea flowers on its grounds. It was built by Tokimune Hojo as a sub-temple for the Zenko-ji temple (Zenko-ji was abolished in the first year of the Meiji period), and the beautiful garden has become a sighseeing spot with its hydrangeas and fall foliage. Be aware that it is certain to be crowded depending on the season.

Zeniarai Benzaiten Ugafuku Shrine
It is said that you will become rich when you wash coins in the spring water inside the cavern located on the grounds of the shrine. It is also said to be founded by Minamoto no Yorimoto following a divine message in a dream and where the fifth regent to the shogun Tokiyori Hojo washed money and prayed for the prosperity of his family. Since sieves for washing money are provided, why not try just once?

Maruyaki tako senbei are a local snack and great for souvenirs!
Two or three octopuses are pressed whole and cooked to make maruyaki tako senbei, and you can enjoy them piping hot and freshly roasted.
