Start your journey through Hiroshima! Leave your luggage at the hotel

Once you leave the South exit of JR Hiroshima station, take the tram located in front of the exit, and get off at “Fukuromachi”. Our hotel is located 3min by walk from the stop. Leave your luggage at the hotel first for a carefree start to your trip.

Learn the history, and contemplate about the future of world peace in the city that connects us all

A peace memorial park dedicated to the lives lost to the atomic bomb. Inside the park, you will find the famous World Heritage Site “A-Bomb Dome” and the “Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum” which exhibits the horrors of the event. As well as many other monuments celebrating peace.

Shukkei-en Garden

Popular garden where you can enjoy each of the four seasons of Japan

Shukkei-en was constructed in 1620, the year after Asano Nagaakira was made Daimyō (feudal lord) of Hiroshima. The garden is said to mimic the the scenic areas of West Lake, China. Although the garden was virtually destroyed by the atomic bomb, the “Seifukan” and “Meigetsutei” tea houses have now been restored.

Enjoy a collection beautiful art in the heart of the city

The museum exhibits artwork related to Hiroshima prefecture, Japanese and Asian arts and craft, as well as other displays concentrating on work created in the 1920’s and 30’s. The museum has over 5000 pieces in its collection. With the Shukkei-en Garden right next door, it is also a place of relaxation where you will find galleries and libraries. We highly recommend enjoying the view of the garden while unwinding in the cafes and restaurants.

Hiroshima Gokoku Shrine

A sacred place in Hiroshima

Hiroshima Gokoku Shrine began with the construction of the “Mikureisha Shrine” which was built to mourn the Hiroshima-Han victims of the Boshin War. The shrine was rebuilt in 1964 after it was destroyed by the atomic bomb. It is also famous for being the place where fans of Hiroshima Toyo Carp (local baseball team) come to pray for their winning every year.

Hiroshima Castle

A breathtaking light up!

Built in 1589 by the powerful feudal lord Mori Terumoto. It is one of the three biggest castles built in Japan. The castle was completely destroyed by the atomic bomb, and has been restored and turned into a historical museum. Although the castle is not open at night, the outside is beautifully lit up.

Inside the museum you will find a display of different cars, from nostalgic cars to cars currently on the market. The museum is located on the premises of Mazda, where you can even visit the manufacturing site. Reservation is necessary for the tour.
